Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Hardwood Designed to be Stronger and More Durable

Engineered wood, also called mass timber, composite wood, man-made wood, or manufactured board, includes a range of similar types of derivatives to wood products. These are manufactured by binding or attaching the strands, particles, fibers, veneers, boards of wood, real wood, scrap wood, shredded wood fibers and/or sawdust with adhesives. The finished product looks and acts like wood, but is designed to be stronger and more durable. Top veneer is the actual species of the desired wood, whether it is red oak, white oak, hickory, etc. That is attached to the plywood or HDF core. Unfinished engineered wood can also be specially ordered.
As the name implies, engineered wood products are carefully tested for strength, durability, and resistance to moisture. Some products are made with waterproof adhesives specifically for outdoor use.
